Contextual Fit

Addition to Existing Order

In order to start this project it is important to understand what Francis D.K. Ching said "requires first that the ordering system of the prior or prototypical model be perceived and understood so that, through a series of finite changes and permutations, the original design concept can be clarified, strengthened, and built upon, rather than destroyed."                                                                                                              The Smith Family wants to take make an addition to there home built in 1965 without putting away the original design to extinction. In order to accomplish this first it is important to analyze the original design. Once it is clear the new design has to adapt to existing structure as a base of where to start.

CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS (EXISTING PATTERNS):

Narrative

When she doesn't exercise she spends time reading books for that being said she has requested to keep the original design of the house so she can continue to have those private moments. In some occasions her family visits her which they spend a time together watching movies. She would like that area to not be so disturb.
